Moral y política en la Edad Media castellana (siglos XIII-XVII)
CORPUS
The project follows the prior establishment of a reference corpus to analyse the processes of translation, adaptation and recreation in Castilian of moral and political concepts, largely inherited from classical Antiquity.
Following these premises, the texts that make up this corpus are composed of: (a) Latin sources, on which Castilian translations are based; (b) legislative texts; (c) Regiments of princes and wisdom literature; (d) glosses to regiments of princes and legal texts; (e) Vocabulary books, dictionaries, etymologies contemporary to the selected chronology; (f) Political treatises from the period 1450-1550; (g) Historiographical texts; (h) Diplomatic documentation.
